Prototyping and Concepts
RDVS have a great deal of experience in producing a broad range of prototype parts. These range from sample electronic control units used for "proof of concept" to switchgear, instruments and one off vehicle electrical systems for show cars or racing vehicles. Examples of projects we have worked on are:
Undisclosed electric car - RDVS provided the modified low voltage electrical system, high voltage power distribution unit (PDU), CAN instrument cluster interface, battery interface module incorporating a CAN gateway, high voltage PTC heater control unit, high voltage cable system - all parts designed and manufactured in-house.
JCB Dieselmax - RDVS provided the complete chassis electrical system including the harnesses, cockpit, unique lithium ion battery based power packs and off-board support systems for this record breaking vehicle.
Undisclosed Military Vehicle - RDVS are providing the key design elements including J1939 CAN system design, EDS design, electrical system functional design and technical management of key suppliers to this all-terrain medium mobility vehicle.
Ascari A10 - RDVS provided the unique electrical system for this vehicle based upon our design for the KZ1 roadcar, incorporating the unique control systems and cockpit in this supercar.
We have well equipped workshop facilities on-site allowing us to provide rapid turnaround of prototype electrical components and systems.
