Overview
R&D Vehicle Components is expanding its electronic / electromechanical manufacturing capability and is looking for a Buyer to support this expansion.
Roles and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Procurement of commodity parts
- Procurement of bespoke engineered components
- Procurement of utility and facility services
- Progress chasing
- Supply chain management
- Logistics
- Administration of purchase orders and invoices
- Supporting implementation of a ISO 9001 quality system
- Supporting the introduction of a MRP system
Experience
The successful applicant shall have:
- Procurement experience of bespoke engineered components
- Good negotiation skills
It would be beneficial if the candidate has:
- Experience of working in a OEM or Tier 1 automotive electrical manufacturing environment
- Procurement experience of electrical components
- Experience of automotive quality processes including ISIR and PPAP approvals
