Overview

R&D Vehicle Components is expanding its engineering capacity and is looking for an electrical engineer to support development and validation of electronic and electromechanical components for electric vehicles.

Roles and Responsibilities

The successful applicant shall be responsible for:

Developing component test plans in conjunction with customers requirements
Managing validation of electronic and electromechanical components
Management of test houses
Report writing
Supporting FMEA reviews
Support hardware and software reviews
Supporting implementation of a ISO 9001 quality system
Supporting introduction of MRP system

Experience

The successful applicant shall have:

At least 5 years in an electrical engineering environment and a good understanding of the product development process
A good understanding of electrical principles.

It would be beneficial if the candidate has:

Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
Experience of working in a OEM or Tier 1 automotive electrical product development environment
Experience of OEM environmental test requirements including EMC.
Knowledge of CAN systems
Experience of CANalyzer and CANstress testing
Experience of working with high voltage systems
